The Grau d'Agde auction offers tours and activities from Monday to Friday, starting in April and continuing until the end of the All Saints holidays.  

 

Behind the Scenes of Fishing

Your guide will explain the various aspects of fishing in the Mediterranean, from the Agde fleet and different fishing techniques to regulations.

Then, stroll along the auction docks, discover the Agde fleet, and meet the sea professionals working there.

Enter the auction room where your guide presents some species entrusted to the auction for the day's sale.

You have the option to enhance your guided tour with a commented tasting of seafood products (30 min) - by reservation only.

*Subject to weather conditions (inaccessible dock, ships docked due to bad weather causing auction cancellation...).

The fish auction

Accompanied by your guide, you will admire the ballet of trawlers mooring at the auction dock*.

Observe the meticulous work of the sailors as they carefully sort the species until they are unloaded.

Then, return to the heart of the tour circuit to witness the auction.

Your guide's explanations will help you understand the marketing system for seafood products.

To conclude, observe the handlers organizing the shipment of fish to various points of sale.
